How do you repair a manual, wind-up clock?
When I went to this antique store near my house, I saw this really cool wind-up alarm clock. I think it was labeled as a 1950's "art deco" clock. Apparently, whoever last owned it wound up the spring too tight, and it got stuck. So, the clock won't work. Since I don't want to spend the money for a repairman, I think that I'd like to try to fix it myself. If you could tell me how to fix it, (or, at least, show me a website that talks about manual clock repair), I'd appreciate it.
Although I really think that the clock looks cool, I don't want something that doesn't work, and can't be fixed. (The clock is relatively inexpensive, and if fixing it isn't that hard, it might be worth it to purchase it, and repair it myself.)

The last part is a list of books on clock repair, you might check to see if your local library has one of them.
You might just buy a new one, but apparently the new "Big Ben" models from China are junk.
