how can i make a wind up key for a costume?
I want to be a wind up doll this year for halloween. But, i can't find a moving key anywhere. i want one that my friends can turn but it doesn't have to move all the time or even move after they turn it. Where can I find a key like this or (preferably) how can i make one myself? please and thank you for all ur help
I used a some thick foam to make the key, one that was flexible but not to stiff that it would break. take a mailing tube, ( you can get them at any ups store) remove both caps. Cut the foam to look like the key ( think 2 circles with the centers cut out like a figure 
==8 . cut a slit in to the tube and slide the (8) shaped foam into the slit. take one one the plastic ends of the tube and cut it in half, once in half cut off thicknes of the foam on one of the plastic peices and put into tube next to foam 8 . use another rectangel piece of foam and attach the other plastic tube cap to it ( i used zip ties). use 2 more zip ties to attache it to a bra. it will look like this [ o ]= ([ ]is the foam, o is the cap, = are the zip ties that attach to the bra. now paint the ==8 silver and to attache ==8 just plug it into the o of the [o]= you can cut a silt into your dress and hide the [o]= under the dress. because the key is being held by the cap you are able to turn it and remove the key. this works great if you have to drive or sit in a car. when you get there just attache the key
