Why are homes built after WWII vacant of all the glorious hard wood mouldings and mantels used prior?
I am looking to purchase a 1930's Bungalow. I notice that homes built after 1940 do not have the same charming hard wood craftmanship that are indictive of the older homes. Where did the wood go?
styles changed....people were looking for more modern things..i too love the older homes...the handcraft look to me is amazing
